We all love to receive blessings but are we doing the right things to earn these? The Bible clearly teaches that we are to bless Israel and that those who do will be blessed in return. Sadly many churches in the UK don’t believe Israel is still part of God’s plan, instead they teach that the Church has replaced Israel, despite many passages that teach the opposite.  Jesus should always be central in our praise and belief for eternal salvation, but by not praying for Israel we may miss out on earthly blessings!

This weeks news of Pope Benedict’s retirement is certainly a big media event but there could be more to this story than meets the eye.

Over the years, we have read many detailed accounts concerning first century crucifixion, but this article really stands out and gives many unique insights into Jesus’ final 36 hours prior to Him giving up His life.

It is quite a lengthy read but is well worth the time as it is both shocking to contemplate the horrific suffering of Christ BUT also inspiring and uplifting to learn the amazing insights in the gospel accounts that can be missed. This article also help us to greatly appreciate Jesus’ perfect display of humble obedience on our behalf and move us to offer worship and praise!
