If you look at culture within the UK, you could say there are two powerful forces that have been on the rise in the recent years that have great influence on life: the far-left and Islam. On paper, these two worldviews are so diametrically opposed to each other that it’s virtually impossible to find any common ground. However, in this blog, Dave Reagan points out that it is what they are both opposed to that is a more powerful force than what their differences are – both camps are so blinded by their ‘common hatred of Christianity’ (which is commonly mistaken for the far-right) that they overlook their incredible… Continue reading
When asked about the signs of the end-times in the Olivet Discourse, Jesus drew a parallel between the ‘days of Noah’ and the days prior to His return – effectively Jesus was saying that there would be a repeat of the situation that led to the flood:
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the… Continue reading
‘The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?’ is a production in the West End that features a chap called Martin who’s marriage falls apart due to an affair – nothing unusual there as adultery is not mildly shocking anymore. The difference here is that Martin has fallen in ‘love’ with a goat.
This production marks a clear attempt to break another of our cultural taboos – bestiality. Adultery and ‘pre-marital’ sexual activity are common practice now and this is no longer news – it’s normal. Since then, the boundaries of marriage have been tinkered with and re-defined to include any adult human relationship regardless of gender or sexual preference – this… Continue reading
Those who have an interest in prophecy will be very familiar with 2 Timothy 3:1-7 – it is a passage that is regularly the subject of church sermons and is one of the key passages concerning end-time indicators. It clearly provides an accurate description of the world around us and it is patently obvious that this prophecy is being uniquely fulfilled in this generation. In fact, it’s quite frightening to consider how accurately this describes society today which alone should be a urgent wake-up call to stay alert and not be distracted or seduced by matters of this world.
However, there are some details in this passage that are often… Continue reading
We have blogged before on the rapidly developing technologies that appear to be opening the door for a fulfillment of clear prophecy such as the passage below:
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of… Continue reading
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:10)
The Christian faith is coming under increasing pressure from every angle. For those that read and believe the Bible this is no surprise as it is to be expected, but that doesn’t make it any easier when decisions are made with the intention of trying to appease non-Christians groups in their animosity to the Christian faith.
It is impossible to remain oblivious to the news over the last week or so as our TV screens are dominated by more turbulence – the world really is groaning and creaking in every sense and it is clear to us that the ‘birth-pangs’ described by Jesus as an indicator of the end-times are becoming greater in intensity and frequency. There are many countries that are currently experiencing turmoil and need our prayers, but there are some that will cause anyone interested in Biblical prophecy to sit up and take notice – one of these countries is Turkey.
