In recent weeks, Danny has been asked to preach at St Andrew’s Baptist Church on two occasions. He has worked through 1 Corinthians 10 which is an incredibly practical passage – although this passage is particularly relevant for St Andrew’s at the present time, there is much in the way of practical advice for any church in these times of extreme moral volatility and confusion within society.

Feel free to listen to the sermons and we hope they are a blessing…

Sermon 1 – Lessons from the History of God’s People

The first sermon covers 1 Corinthians 10:1-13:

Recently, Danny was asked to preach at St Andrew’s Baptist Church and he gave a sermon entitled ‘Righteousness, Self-Control and the Judgment to Come’. In Acts 24, Paul provides one of 6 defences of his faith which leads to Governor Felix becoming very intrigued with the gospel – this results in two years of exchanges between the two men about matters of faith. We are given an interesting detail in Acts 24:25 where Paul speaks to Felix about:

  1. Righteousness
  2. Self Control
  3. Judgment to Come

If this was the model Paul used when speaking with a Roman leader like Felix, surely it provides a great template for us when witnessing to… Continue reading

Last Sunday (New Years Day), Danny was asked to preach at St Andrew’s Baptist Church and he gave a sermon entitled ‘Prepared as a Bride’ where he looked into the need for being prepared, watchful and alert in these uncertain times.

2 Corinthians 4:16-5:10 was used as a base text and there were three themes that were expounded that are particularly relevant at the start of a New Year:

  1. The need for Perspective
  2. The need for Purity
  3. The need for Passion

Although this message was given specifically with St Andrew’s Baptist Church in mind, there will no doubt be an application for any church or individual.

Feel free to listen… Continue reading

Last Sunday, Danny was asked to preach at St Andrew’s Baptist Church and he gave a sermon on John 9 entitled ‘Who is He?’ where he looked into the identity of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is often put on a par with other religious founders, but He stands completely alone. No-one else has ever made the astonishing claims Jesus made, performed the amazing signs and wonders Jesus did, fulfilled an array of prophecies concerning His life and (most of all) rising for the dead NEVER to die again! We are so far removed from the culture of Jesus day, it’s easy for us to miss the stunning impact His words and… Continue reading

Pastor Mike Barnard gave this sermon during a guest service at St. Andrews Baptist Church on Sunday 25th October 2014. The sermon was titled “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” and is challenging, as ever, from Mike. See the teachings page we have for Pastor Mike where there are also some of his previous sermons.

Pastor Mike always teaches from Scripture without compromising on Biblical truth which is very rare for a pastor in these last days. His sermon below is only 28 minutes long and well worth listening to…

We have introduced a new “Teachings” section on the website – this can be found on the left menu. Reading God’s Word on a daily basis is a vital ingredient in developing spiritual maturity for any believer in Christ. There are many good Bible teachers and we will collate some recommended sermons on the website for those who find it helpful.

Initially we have four pages; Chuck Missler, Douglas Hamp, Jacob Prasch, and Mike Barnard. Over time we hope to grow these pages and add new teachings that we believe can further our study of the Scriptures.
